The Summit Release Notes Tool is an online service hosted on the Finastra Support website that allows users to extract release notes for one or more Summit versions.

To generate release notes for the latest versions of Summit, you must select the Summit FT option button.

Summit Option

Select Single to view the release notes for a single release.

Single

Select Multiple to view the release notes included between two releases.

Multiple

You can choose to view release notes only for enhancements or bug fixes by enabling or disabling the corresponding check boxes.

Select Valuation changes only to generate only release notes about fixes that may cause valuation pricing.

Checkboxes

Specify the functional and/or technical areas of interest. All boxes are selected by default. You may click Clear to reset the form then select individual categories to tailor your search.

Click Submit. The Summit release notes that meet your criteria are displayed.
  • Your selection is recapped at the top of the window.
  • The JIRA ID, artifact and PC Request numbers within each category are displayed on the left side of the window.
  • The applicable release versions are displayed under each number. Tickets that have been propagated to several releases display multiple release versions.
  • The description is displayed to the right of the number.
Quick Search

Add the SFDC Customer Case number to the Quick Search field and click Go. It will display the release note coresponding to the SFDC Customer Case regardless of the settings of the tool.

Summit Version Search Standards

To view the release notes, follow the steps below:

  • For V6.3, select V6.3 from the first drop-down and x.y from the second dropdown, where x is the enhancement pack number and y is the patch number.
  • For V6.2, select V6 from the first drop-down and 2.x.y from the second dropdown, where x is the enhancement pack number and y is the patch number.
  • For V6.1, select V6 from the first drop-down and 1.x.y from the second dropdown, where x is the enhancement pack number and y is the patch number.
  • For V6.0, select V6 from the first drop-down and 0.x from the second dropdown, where x is the service pack number.
  • For V5.7, select V5 from the first drop-down and 7.x in the second dropdown, where ‘x’ is the service pack number.
  • For V5.6, select V5.6 from the first drop-down and 0.x in the second dropdown, where ‘x’ is the service pack number.
